As your article pointed out, the ousting of Marcus by Manila’s People Power twenty years ago has been the role model of democracy for many developing countries. But the Philippines is now in jeopardy not because democracy does not work but because President Arroyo is likely to seek for her own interests and forget about her country's dream to root out poverty spreading all across the country.
