Corn-Powered in Yuma

Below is my comment on the article of "Corn-Powered in Yuma", TIME, June 18, 2007.

エタノール製造工場Yuma farmers should not be blamed on their greed to raise corn not as a grain for food but as a more combined bio-fuel to solve the global warming as well as the energy problem because the latter can be sold higher. They only pursue their better standard of living by following a national policy of energy security.

Who should be blamed most is President Bush because intentionally or unintentionally he erased the line used to separate food grain from the grain being used for energy as Lester R. Brown warned. He is just like Julius Caeser who went across Rubicon River with his army to invade Roma in the ancient Roman era.

What the President of the U.S. should do now is not to protect national interests as the leader of one country but to provide the world with better ways to decrease CO2 emissions to prevent the disaster of global warming as the great leader of the earth.
